The Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC) at the Stevens Institute of Technology and the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not collect personally identifying information when you visit the Worldwide Directory (WWD) and its digital properties, unless you voluntarily provide the information to us through email, or submit a request for program update or inclusion of a new program through the website.
Any personal information you choose to provide us will only be used by SERC to support the Worldwide Directory (WWD). SERC does not sell, rent, loan or trade personal information collected on this site.
Information Collected through WWD
When visiting the WWD, we collect the following information:
- The Internet Protocol address of the computer or mobile device that accessed Stevens.edu
- The type of browser, its version and the operating system on which that browser is running
- The Web page from which the user accessed the current Web page
- The date and time of the user's request
- The pages that were visited and the amount of time spent at each page
This information for internal SERC use only for the purpose of traffic analysis, site improvement and security. This information is non-personally identifiable. Stevens uses tools such as Google Analytics to understand the use and behaviors associated with use of the WWD. Personal Information Submitted for Updates of the WWD
SERC collects the following information from individuals who are requesting updates to the content of the WWD:
This information is securely stored so that if there are questions about the requested updates, the WWD team can follow up.
Information is only kept by the SERC and INCOSE as a secondary point of contact with permission. Individuals will annually be given the option to opt out of this. The information will not be displayed within the WWD itself.
Personal Information for Program Points of Contact
For each program, SERC collects information on Points of Contact (POCs) who can be contacted for additional information on the program. For POCs, the SERC Collects:
The SERC obtains permission from POCs to store and display their information. This information is shared between SERC and INCOSE. INCOSE may use this information to follow up with POCs in order to verify program information in the WWD.
Information for POCs is kept only as long as that individual remains the appropriate point of contact for a program. For example, if a program identifies a new POC, information on the previous POC is removed.
Use of Personal Data
The personal data submitted to the WWD is used for follow up communications to verify program information and to publicize on the program entry to the WWD.
